Troy teen seriously injured in two-vehicle accident

Hannibal Courier-Post
Posted Jul 02, 2009 @ 08:35 AM
Lincoln County, MO —

A Troy teen-ager suffered serious injuries when the motorcycle he was riding struck another vehicle Wednesday.

The accident occurred at 11:45 a.m. on Route KK at Walker Road, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol. An eastbound 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse, driven by 53-year-old Virginia Anderson of Troy, was stopped at a stop sign. A 2006 Kawasaki Ninja, operated by 16-year-old Mathew Stone of Troy, was southbound on Route KK. Reportedly the Eclipse entered the roadway, turning north into the path of the motorcycle, causing Stone’s motorcycle to strike the car.

Stone was taken to St. Joseph West in St. Charles by Arch Helicopter.
I hate the Post Dispatch.

She was pulling away from a stop sign and a motorcycle pulled into HER path.

May she should have not pulled from the stop sign yet!

The Dispatch doesn't let facts disrupt their stories.
