It is all too easy to do a wheelie...

Someone earlier mentioned "covering the brake"...

one thing you DONT wanna do is inadvertantly stop the front wheel while your are mid wheelie...

That would be bad...

im confused ,if the front wheel is off the ground ,why would it matter if it was stopped or not . Understood when it was set down it would be bad.

Although i wouldnt buy a stunted bike,i certainly enjoy it .
And a good wheelie isnt "easy enough " power wheelies are but a good clutch up or bounce up wheelie takes skill just like making laps at gateway.

I bought my machine to ride the living hell out of it on two wheels or one. 40000 miles later ,i still am.

LOL

Covering the brake is the rear brake not front. If it starts to go over tapping the rear brake will bring the front down.

if the wheel stops abrubtly it can cause balance issues...like when an mx'er flys...tap the rear brak will bring the nose up or down (i don't remeber which) and accelerating does the opposite.

also for a sportbiker...a stopped wheel hitting the ground at a high rate of fuel consumption can induce a nasty headshake.

I would like to slowly learn how to do a wheelie..kinda scared about doing damage to my bike though. I crashed mine a year ago on a bad country road. Shattered my left collarbone. Crashing definetely sux!
