Default This is why you play hookie from work

played hooke from work a couple days last week. On haloween friday I took a solo ride. Headed out with no destination, map or plan. I felt like riding till I saw mountains.... and colorado is hella far.... so I just took off aimlesly. Found some mountains afterall. Ozarks FTW :)

Route I ended up taking was some jeffco backroads from fenton to dittmer, then hwy Y south to 21. I kept on 21 south through potosi. I felt like going a little further south, and ended up pulling over for break at elephant rocks state park.

From there I took hwy 8 back through steelville, then 19 north to owensville and then hwy 50 back east to union. and indirect backroads through pacific and cedar hill on the way home to Fenton.

Great day, great route, great scenery, great roads, and a helluva lotta fun.

Nice to get away to ride my pace, take my route, stop where I felt like. Such a relaxing day... I highly reccomend it if you have the chance :D

photobucket shrunk my pics so the scale sucks and so does the color. as always pics ddont do it justice. PS... tried using the album section, and couldnt get it to work. What a hassle, esp for this mny pics. Mods please delete my blank album because im tired of trying to fuck with it.

I thought it was november here.... this is just from the leg of my trip between potosi and steelville... like 30 somethin miles? anyway I had the visor up for half that leg since I couldnt see. Ipicking bugs out of my beard for hours it felt like lol

Redneck.... Apparently your an old hand at photography. You compose your photo's very well. I'm an old Nikon 35mm user and just traded up for a Nikon D300 digital. Years ago I used to take photo's of the cars at MAR in Wentzville. Catch them coming off the linie, smoking, wheelies, etc. Blow them up, take them to the pits the next week and sell them. Who can resist a photo of themselves coming off the line screamin!!! Also did some work for GE for a while.

Nice work.

lol, man now thats some funny stuff. Thaqnks for the compliments, but im no means a pro or have any idea what im doing. i ve only been snapping pics a couple years. I look at alot of pics as Ibrowse the forums of cars and bikes, but I dont give much thought to composing the pics as I take them. I just see cool shit and snap a picture (you can tell by the trashcan in a couple of pics lol)

The camera I used is just a kodak 10mp easy share kinda point and shoot camera. its even just set to auto mode, i have no idea how to use any features on this camera. theres no editing or photoshop cleanup. matter of fact I think I got it off some deal website like woot or something for $50ish bucks? it was retarded cheap lol

but thanks alot for the compliments.... im just glad folks like looking at them :)

Well, Pro, good amature or just point and shoot, you have a good natural eye for the shot. Enjoyed them.
