If you've been riding bikes this long something tells me you would have known about this issue..... you know he wasn't riding the bike much after he bought it because its still cold out, so I'm willing to be he didn't eff it up.... If your as good a guy as you say why don't you just buy the bike back for the purchase price?

It was the bike for sale for more than it was listed on for sale on here, presumably by the new owner. Made the issue w/ 2nd seem minor (which, from what I understand, is a very expensive repair).

I read the Craigslist ad before it was deleted. He had it listed for $2,000 and mentioned the 2nd gear defect. I'm not sure what he paid for it on here but it was listed for $2,400 the For Sale section.

my bad. when i read the cl ad, it was $2200 i thought, and thought it was in here for $2k
